Interview process description:

Interviews will be conducted on Fridays during the month of January. Interviews will be done individually with both the Clinical Training Director and Lead Psychologist/Supervisor. Each interview will include a 15-minute introduction to the program and a tour of the facility followed by a 45 minute structured interview. In-person interviews are preferred but virtual interviews are welcome. If post-doctoral residents are available, opportunity will be given to meet these clinicians. Interns will be asked to read vignettes and complete brief writing samples after the interview process.

Program Description

The instruction, training, and guidance of clinicians and professionals in psychology has always been an integral part of Reflections Therapy since its establishment. Our practice’s Psychology Doctoral Internship Training Program offers psychotherapy and assessment services to individuals and families of all ages and from all ethnic and cultural backgrounds. The overall goal of our training program is to develop ethically and culturally competent clinicians and professionals, who may utilize varying theoretical orientations, and who can provide evidence-based services while meeting the standards of their specific licensing boards.

 

Doctoral Interns will be presented with a range of professional experiences to support their professional careers, including didactic instructions on range of competency areas. Practical experiences that allow learned concepts to be applied in significant ways are offered to simultaneously develop professional and personal growth.
