Brief description of the typical work day for an intern at this training site At Excela, interns may provide supervision medical residents and teach psychological topics related to primary care, such as cultural humility, suicide assessment, ADHD basics, and differential diagnosis. At Chatham, interns may co-facilitate the weekly group supervision meeting for practicum students work with athletes, and provide psychoeducational outreach programming to the university community. Interns are provided with 2 hours of individual supervision each week. Fridays are reserved for training, during which interns meet with consortium staff for group supervision, professional development, and seminars on topics including mindfulness, integrated care, therapeutic assessment, self-disclosure, problem solving therapy, and much more! Interns also enjoy an hour long lunch hour and may choose to venture into the local community for local restaurants, coffee shops, and more for a little mid-day self-care.
