Interview process description:

Interview day will consist of a welcome with all candidates interviewing on that day. Individual interviews with the assigned interview committee will occur simultaneously with individual meet and greet with the Director of Training. Followed by meet and greet with SHaW staff and current intern cohort. The interview day will be from 8:00am to 3:30pm.

All interviews will be virtual; however, should a candidate need the interview to be via phone, this can be arranged. Interviews will take place mid-December.

The background check is performed after the intern has matched with the University of Connecticut, Student Health and Wellness Mental Health. Pre-employment criminal background checks will typically include the following: social security number verification, past address trace, statewide criminal history search (where available), statewide sex offender check, county criminal history check, federal criminal history check, nationwide criminal history check, international criminal history check (where applicable) and nationwide sex offender search.
