The Centre for Psychological Services and Research (CPSR) is a training clinic for the School of Psychology at the University of Ottawa. The CPSR internship is a generalist programme that focuses on the development of an intern's professional skills and identity within the context of the scientist-practitioner model. The mission of the internship is to enable interns to acquire: (1) competence for the autonomous practice of clinical psychology, (2) skills in assessment, intervention, consultation, and supervision, (3) a commitment to ethical standards of professional practice, and (4) a strong sense of professional identity and responsibility.
(training opportunities continued)
The types of training and supervision experiences interns will obtain largely depends on the nature of the training plan.
