Interview process description: |
There will be two options for attending an interview day for the 2026-2027 internship class: On-site and virtual. Each option will consist of an Open House along with individual interviews with program faculty as well as discussion opportunities with current and past interns. Qualified candidates only need to attend one interview day and no program preference is given to either option with regard to the evaluation process of each candidate. We fully understand and continue to support any candidate who elects to attend a virtual interview day. Our program decided to offer an on-site option based on feedback from previous interview days and given the commitment required from those who are selected for our internship to be a commissioned Air Force officer, we wanted to ensure interested candidates were provided an optional exposure experience to assist with their decision-making process.
The virtual option is tentatively scheduled for December 12, 2025 and the on-site option will be tentatively held on January 09, 2026. Interview days will be an opportunity to learn more about our program, our faculty, what it is like to be a psychologist in the US Air Force, and for our faculty to learn more about your experiences, interests, and your desires for internship and a career in the US Air Force.
Upon receipt of your application materials, we will notify you if you are invited to an interview day. If you do not receive a notification, please contact the Training Director, Lt Col John Pistello, PsyD, at john.p.pistello.mil@health.mil. |
