Program Description

We are a large medical facility with a full continuum of care for clients with mental health issues. Programs include inpatient, psychosocial rehabilitation, outpatient, community integration, and psychologists integrated into primary care and specialty medical care settings. We are a generalist training program but have emphasis tracks with unique APPIC program numbers for clinical, health, neuro, gero, or rehabilitation psychology - analogous to ABPP recognized specialties. Interns usually complete two of three four-month rotations related to their selected emphasis area, and a third rotation in an area that might be less familiar to them. Successful completion of the first rotation requirements allows the intern to elect an optional 300-hour enrichment experience. Applicants should specify in their cover letter an emphasis track to which they are applying along with three preferred rotations and an alternate. Due to staffing issues we cannot guarantee any given rotation, but we are invested in your career trajectories, including the fit among training assignments and future career plans.  We believe a diverse class enhances your experience, we welcome diversity, and encourage it among our staff, applicants, and trainees.
