131311 The Psychology Child & Family Outpatient Clinic is a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic. Interns have the opportunity for board exposure to diverse populations and clinical issues.
131312 The Adult Forensic Track at Kentucky Psychiatric Correctional Facility (KCPC) evaluates and treats patients with felonies. Interns’ experiences may include psychological assessment, observing and completing competency evaluations, observing expert testimony, and forensic report writing. Interns will also have the opportunity to administer individual or group therapy including competency restoration services.
131313 The Adult Psychiatric Hospital Track at Central State Hospital (CSH) serves civilly committed patients and those undergoing pre-trial forensic evaluations, inters gain hands-on experience with individual with serious mental illness. Opportunities include psychological testing, competency, and criminal responsibility evaluation, brief and group therapy, and crisis work. Interns also observe expert testimony and contribute to reports that inform the courts.
