Interview process description:

We are recruiting for TWO positions in our APA-accredited Rehabilitation Psychology Postdoctoral fellowship. Interview dates will be coordinated directly with candidates invited to interview.

This fellowship uses the APPA CAS (APPIC Psychology Postdoctoral Application) for all applications, consistent with VA Policy. This program adheres to the APPIC Selection Process Guidelines, including the Common Hold Date. You can find more information at the APPIC website.

Program Description

We anticipate offering two positions for the 2027-2029 training period with an application deadline of December 16, 2026. 

The Central Virginia VA Medical Center in Richmond, Virginia offers a two year fellowship in the specialty practice area of rehabilitation psychology. The Program Aim is to provide education and training in preparation for entering professional practice at an advanced level of competency. As a member of the Council of Rehabilitation Psychology Postdoctoral Training Programs, the fellowship adheres to the Baltimore Conference Training Guidelines and the APA’s Commission on Accreditation’s Level 1 and Level 3 competencies for postdoctoral training. Training is also consistent with the competencies outlined by American Board of Rehabilitation Psychology (ABRP) and fellows are encouraged to pursue Board Certification as a Rehabilitation Psychologist (ABPP) after graduation.
