All applicants will be notified by email if they will be offered an interview or not on or before 11/20/2019. Interview days will only be available in person on Wednesday 12/04/2019 and 12/11/2019 likely from 9am-3pm. The Interview day will include orientation to the program and introduction of faculty, tour of the facility, individual interviews with staff, written response to a vignette, and a group luncheon with faculty and Intern applicants.
The APA Accredited WJB Dorn VAMC Psychology Intership program is a full time placement with a generalist approach to training.
There are two year-long main rotations to chose from: General Outpatient Mental Health & Primary Care Intergration (PACT/BH). Two six-month specialty rotations will also be selected from the listed choices: Trauma Recovery Program-Combat Trauma (PTSD), Trauma Recovery Program-Military Sexual Trauma (MST), Serious Mental Illness (SMI), Suicide Prevention (SPC), Clinical Neuropsychology, and Pain Clinic. Didactic trainings take place each week. There are many certification, professional development, and evidence based trainings avaiable to Interns throughout the training year.
