Program Description

The Department of Behavioral Psychology provides clinical services to a variety of pediatric populations with learning, behavioral and developmental disabilities. The Department's philosophy is that the principles and procedures of behavioral science form the basis for effective and ethical clinical services. Fellows typically elect to develop their expertise through advanced training in one or two clinical services under the direction of an identified mentor(s). Specific training opportunities include hospital consultation in severe behavior disorders, family therapy, pervasive developmental disorders/autism, and pediatric feeding disorders in both outpatient and inpatient programs. Research participation is strongly encouraged and typically integrated into clinical experience. Fellows have the opportunity to work with their mentor to tailor the training experiences to meet their needs with regard to clinical, supervisory, research, and didactic training.

Fellows complete their 12-month training in one clinic, rather than completing rotations across clinics. Applicants are encouraged to specify the clinic(s) in which they are interested.

Applicants must either be U.S. Citizens or have a visa to work/train in the U.S.

Please note, we require a background check prior to final acceptance into our postdoctoral fellowship program.
