Brief description of the typical work day for an intern at this training site Interns work 40 hours per week within an outpatient mental health clinic. The intern spends 8-16 of those hours completing diagnostic assessments. 2 evenings until eight are required. Friday mornings, interns participate in a case consultation meeting and a didactic seminar.

Program Description

Trinity Services, Inc. is a non-profit agency located in the Southwest suburbs of Chicago. The agency's mission is to help those we serve flourish and live full and abundant lives. Interns work within an outpatient clinic five days per week, The clinic serves adults, adolescents, and children. Interns facilitate a case consultation group attended by master’s and doctoral practicum students. Specialized training in the third-wave cognitive behavioral therapy models, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy, is provided at this site. Training in the assessment of Autism Spectrum Disorders is also provided. In addition, interns may gain experience providing therapy services to persons dually diagnosed with mental illness and developmental disability.
