The UTPPIC offers on-site interviews and there are five interview dates during the month of January. Interviews are in group and individual formats, and applicants will meet with at least three supervisors on their interview day. We cannot guarantee that an applicant will have the opportunity to meet with all of the supervisors they would like to.

Phone or Skype interviews are possible but generally place the applicant at a disadvantage to those who interview in person.

Program Description

The UTPPIC consists of a number of cooperating agencies which offer a wide variety of training experiences. The program is administered through the Dept. of Psychiatry at the UTHSC. Interns complete three 4-month rotations, each with a 24 hr./week major rotation and a 12 hr./week minor rotation plus seminars. Each intern's program is individually designed to meet his/her training needs. The program follows a scholar-practitioner model with a focus on clinical training that is supported by the current psychological literature.
