Tentative interview date: 01/08/2024
Interview process description:

The postdoctoral residency program seeks applicants with prior training and/or strong interest in geropsychology, health psychology and with interprofessional teams across clinical  settings.  Background in  neuropsychological assessment is recommended as this is heavily focused on in all training rotations; however strong interest in developing competencies in this area is also prioritized over experience.  Additionally, prior training and/or interest in evidence-based psychotherapy practices and shorter-term interventions in medical settings is required.  Most importantly, a strong interest in and commitment to working with older adults and their families/caregivers across various settings is necessary.   Residents must also have a driver’s license to be able to participate in the home-based primary care (HBPC) rotation.

Applications are reviewed by the Training Committee after the due date of 12/01/23.  A select group of applicants will be invited for interviews.  All will be notified by 12/22/2023 of their interview status.   Virtual interviews will be conducted the first and second weeks of January.

The program adheres to the APPIC policy that no person representing this training program will offer, request, accept, or use any ranking-related information from any postdoctoral applicant or graduate program.  Please note that we adhere to the APPIC Postdoctoral Selection Standards with Common Hold Date (CHD), 2/26/2024.  We will begin making offers the week after we complete interviews.

Prior to the Common Hold Date, we will consider making a reciprocal offer if our top applicant receives a bona fide offer from another postdoctoral training program.  While we make every effort to complete all interviews as early in the year as possible, we reserve the right to make a reciprocal offer in the exceptional circumstance that an applicant we consider to be the top candidate gets another offer prior to the completion of our interview process.
