For more details about the training experiences relevant to each focus area, please refer to the fellowship brochure.

The Durham VAMC has several psychologists who serve as trainers and/or consultants involved with VA's dissemination of evidence-based psychotherapies (EBPs).  Thus, specific training priorities and interests often can be accommodated; and, our psychology staff resources are able to address the required training and consultation (and/or equivalency criteria) in pursuit of VA provider status for a number of EBPs (especially cognitive processing therapy and prolonged exposure).  The opportunity to train in behavioral sleep medicine is another significant training opportunity.

Additional information about training opportunities: Not all rotations or training experiences may be available as described in the APPIC Directory. Please consult the program's application materials or their website at: https://www.va.gov/durham-health-care/work-with-us/internships-and-fellowships/psychology-fellowship-programs/  for a complete description of the training opportunities available at this training site. IF the site has not updated their information by August 1, feel free to contact the Training Director for additional information.
