Interview format varies by position, but all candidates will be provided an overview of the program and chance to speak to current interns after all interviews are completed.  Most (but not all) interviews involve one to one meetings with supervisors in the position and/or other staff members. Applicants invited to interview will be informed as soon as possible, but should not contact the program with requests for interview information until after January 15, 2024 for a status update.

Program Description

Please see https://mentalhealthtraining-ncal.kaiserpermanente.org/ for information on the program. Note that the program has an extensive number of tracks including training experiences in crisis servcies, eating disorders, pediatrics, adult, gender transitions, and behavioral medicine.  

Website will be updated by September 1, 2023 with updated descriptions of tracks and positions.   

For the 2024/25 training year we will have 1 track opening up at our clinic site in Richmond, CA, working with children.

PLEASE NOTE:  Interns are classified as essential employees under California regulations and Kaiser policy.  As such, any intern may be required to work on site at any time.

Also note: The program as a federal contractor and a health care organization has an extensive list of vaccine and general health requirements.  Please contact the training director with any concerns before applying should you have specific questions.  Exeptions to any general health requirements are not usually permitted.
