Brief description of the typical work day for an intern at this training site Interns work in half-day integrated clinic shifts which most often take place M-F between 8am-noon and 1-5pm. Occasionally there are after-hours clinics where, by arrangement, interns may collect supervised professional experience. Interns provide direct clinical services as integrated behavioral health clinicians in primary care and specialty clinics, and see patients for follow-up appointments for brief therapy. A typical workday may include consultation, follow-up visits, individual or group supervision, and didactic activities.

Interview process description:

Applications are received and screened for completeness and meeting program minimum requirements. Complete applications are forwarded to the training staff for review. A select number of qualified candidates will be offered an interview. Onsite interviews are available, and telephone interviews may be available for students who are unable to travel to Oakland for an onsite interview. Interviews will consisist of individual and group meetings in person or via telephone.
