Interviews will be offered as applications are received. They are scheduled according to the availability of the training director and the applicant. Interviews are preferred in person, but skype interviews are an option if travel is not possible. All interviews are individual with the training director and human resources staff. Applicants who attend in person will receive a tour of the facility and have the opportunity to meet the department as well as current interns.
Seasons Center for Behavioral Health promotes an evidenced-based practitioner-scholar model in order to serve the unique needs of Northwest Iowa. Interns will gain a wide variety of experience serving the needs of a clinically underserved population. The internship program is designed to train highly capable and knowledgeable mental health professionals by preparing interns to provide a wide range of services. We encourage interns to integrate clinical practice and science by utilizing clinical research and theory to guide clinical thinking and evidence-based practice. The Training Director and other staff psychologists provide clinical supervision that is customized to match the intern’s skill level and development goals over the course of the training year.

The internship program is consistent with the American Psychological Association’s 2010 Ethical Standard 7.04 (Student Disclosure of Personal Information) as contained in the Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct (APA, 2010).
