At this time the UAGM PIP Intership Program is exclusively affiliated with the  Universidad Ana G. Mendez Gurabo Campus Counseling Psychology Doctoral Program.

Candidates will be notify via email of the day and time of interview. Interviews are conducted individually with an applicant and one faculty and one current intern and then with the Rotation Coordinator.

Program Description

The Universidad Ana G. Mendez Psychology Internship Program is designated as an internship in health service psychology. The internship program is an integral component of the training process in the Health Serviece Psychology. The fundamental goal of this training program is to provide all interns the opportunity to attain the skills that will prepare them to become health service psychologists and to instill in them values of commitment and the highest standards of practice in the profession and science of Psychology. This internship program provides trainees the opportunity to practice and consolidate the skills and knowledge within the professional psychology competencies in the context of a supervised clinical and academic professional setting. Its core mission is to provide quality intensive supervised training by competent mentors. The internship program includes a sequence of didactic experiences designed to enhance the interns' theoretical background and capacity to apply knowledge to specific populations and situations. Additionally, the interns will have the opportunity to explore the academic world by preparing and teaching psychology courses at an undergraduate level and will serve as supervisors of master level practicum students.

At this time the UAGM PIP Internship Program is reserved for Universidad Ana G. Mendez Gurabo Campus Counseling Psychology Doctoral Students.
