Program Description

The Erie Psychology Consortium consists of two entities,UPMC Safe Harbor Behavioral Health (formerly Community Integration, Inc.) and Northshore Psychological Associates. Doctoral psychology interns rotate across both clinical settings, receiving a variety of clinical experiences, including inpatient medical, acute rehabilitation, and outpatient settings. UPMC Safe Harbor Behavioral Health is a local, nonprofit agency that provides psychiatric, psychological, and counseling services to both adults and children covering a wide range of behavioral health services including crisis intervention, therapy and assessment. Northshore Psychological Associates is a group of psychologists in private practice, servicing UPMC Hamot Medical Center, Encompass Rehabilitation Hospital of Erie, and a number of other local hospitals. Northshore also provides a range of outpatient psychological services, including psychological testing and therapy with an emphasis on neuropsychological assessment . Interns will have the opportunity to collaborate with a variety of health care professions and work as a member of an interdisciplinary team.
