Other Fringe Benefits (not indicated above): Interns get off on Major National Holiday, such as Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Years Day and Fourth of July. They also earn 40 hours of vacation time per calendar year.
Brief description of the typical work day for an intern at this training site Interns work four 10-hour days per week. Except for Tuesday, when we have staffings and training, the day typically consists of providing three to four hours of individual/family therapy, co-facilitating two hours of group therapy and/or psychoeducational programming, some case-management, documentation of therapeutic activities and creating and updating Treatment Plans and writing Monthly Progress Reports. On a typical day, the intern is also likely to communicate with internal departments, such as security, school, or medical, and with outside agencies, such as Juvenile Probation Department, CPS, or CASA representatives.
