Program Description

Our internship program provides training experiences for individuals interested in pursuing employment and careers in a college or university counseling center, or as a member of a university faculty in the field of psychology or counseling. The scientist-practitioner training model serves as the over-arching educational philosophy of our internship program, and we use an apprenticeship method to accomplish our training goals. The internship involves the provision of individual and group counseling, outreach and consultation, supervision of practicum students, assessment, and research. Participation in staff meetings, committees, case conferences, seminars, and involvement in administrative functions is expected and encouraged.
