Department: Counseling Center
Due to staffing consideration and not wanting to dilute the integrity of our training program, we have decided to not accept interns until our recruitment allows us to be confident in providing a high quality training experience that can fully meet the needs of psychology students during their internship year.
The aim of the University of South Florida Counseling Center (USFCC) Doctoral Internship is to provide one year of experiential training in a collegiate mental health center in order to prepare interns to work competently as health service psychologists in a variety of professional settings serving diverse populations. Interns engage in intakes, individual and group counseling, crisis intervention, consultation and outreach services, and provision of supervision.
